Hi, I’m Juan. I’ve been serving in the U.S. Air Force since 2008, and over the years, I’ve experienced military life from multiple angles—deploying as a single Airman, navigating orders while married, and even preparing for parenthood in the midst of military life.

Through my time as a Readiness NCO in the Military and Family Readiness Center, I gained insight into a wealth of resources designed to support service members and their families. To my surprise, I had been unaware of many of these resources until I stepped into that role. That realization led me to start Life on Orders.

This blog is my way of sharing the lessons I’ve learned—whether through deployments, PCS moves, career development, or military life in general. My goal is to help fellow service members and their families navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with wearing the uniform.
